Can computational functionalism be defined? 

Computational functionalism claims algorithms, indepdently of how they're implemented, produce conscious experience. Computational functionalists are tasked with identifying the right algorithms and once they do they should be able to determine if a given system is conscious and to what extent based on the computations it's performing.
